Itinerary 2022

10 days, 9 nights

We meet in Madrid and travel north to Asturias to visit cheese makers, cider houses and cities with histories that date to Roman times.

Then we head eastward to the Basque Country for  gastronomic delights, visits to the Bay of Biscay, and interactions with the unique culture and people of this country.

Logistics 2022

We provide:

  • 9 nights lodging

  • Transportation between cities

  • Most meals* (all breakfasts, 6 main meals, 5 light meals)

  • Visits to museums, creameries, cider houses, and historical sites

  • One-of-a-kind interactions with people involved in the local food movement

You provide:

  • Travel to and from Madrid

  • Travel insurance

  • A sense of adventure and curiosity

*Please note that meals in Asturias and the Basque Country are traditionally meat-heavy.  Most cheese in these regions is not vegetarian.

2022 Pricing*

Our pricing for small group tours (8 people maximum) is structured to cover most travel costs to meet the needs of our guests for a comfortable trip.  We also provide time for guests to be on their own as well as make some of their own dining choices during the tour.
